Marcus A. Bitter, DMD Principal Dentist
Dr. Bitter was born and raised in the Midwest. After graduating from Luther Preparatory School in Wisconsin, he received his bachelor’s degree in Biology at Bethany Lutheran College in Minnesota. Dr. Bitter then received a scholarship from the United States Navy to attend the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine.
As a new Naval Officer, Dr. Bitter began his service in Pensacola, FL. In Pensacola, he completed a credentialing tour where he gained additional valuable dental experience. He was assigned to Naval Air Station Corpus Christi in Texas where he continued to expand his skill set and grow as a dental officer. Dr. Bitter and his wife quickly grew to love Texas. Upon completion of his service to the Navy, they decided to settle in the greater Houston area.
Dr. Bitter enjoys staying up to date with advances in general dentistry through continuing education courses. He is Invisalign certified and has special interests in esthetics and dental sleep medicine. He practices conservative comprehensive dentistry and is committed to doing what is best for his patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Bitter enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and being actively involved at his church.
Sara Abedini Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Abedini completed her specialty in orthodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she graduated with honors and awards in both the clinical and academic research fields. During her time at UCLA, she was a head TA and lecturer for dental students, contributed to orthodontic research, and had presentations selected for numerous conferences.
Before starting her journey at UCLA, she earned her PhD from the Department of Orthodontics and Craniofacial Developmental Biology at Hiroshima University, Japan. During those years, Dr. Abedini published many articles in peer-reviewed journals. She also co-authored a book chapter about orthodontic treatment for patients with dentofacial deformities and syndromes.
She is a proud Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics as well as an affiliate member in the Edward H. Angle Society.
Dr. Abedini’s broad experience in the dental field since 2007 and her extensive years in education reflect her passion and love for orthodontics, particularly her patients.
After spanning many countries, Dr. Abedini has settled in Houston where she has been practicing orthodontics and dentistry since 2017 and is passionate about supporting and building the Aliana community.\When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Michel Azer, DDS Periodontist
Dr. Michel Azer completed his training at Boston University in Periodontology and Advanced Dental Implant Surgery. He then remained in academia and was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor for the Post-Doctoral Periodontal program to become the youngest faculty in his department. He then moved to Houston which is now home for him and his family. He specializes in cosmetic implant dentistry, full mouth reconstruction surgeries and treatment of gum disease.
Apart from his outstanding clinical skills, Dr. Azer also lectures nationally and internationally with a focus on esthetic dentistry. He currently holds a core faculty position in the dental implantology diploma for the Australasian College of Dental Practitioners. As a chief resident in Boston University, his research on periodontal disease and diabetes was awarded the Richard Stallard Award and was a nationwide finalist for the prestigious Balint Orban Award.
Dr. Azer is a board certified periodontist and dental implant specialist. He is also a member of Great Houston Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association board, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
