Cleanings & Checkups
Regularly scheduled cleanings and checkups are key components of maintaining a heathy smile. Your dental care team can help you avoid dental problems that can lead to tooth loss, decay or costly restorative procedures, with some general dental care such as routine exams.
Many times, such problems aren’t evident until they literally surface, or are caught by your dentist during an exam. That’s why it’s so important to see us regularly. Twice a year is a good rule of thumb, though it’s really based more on your overall dental health, so we’ll discuss a schedule suited to you after your first visit.
Brushing and flossing are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile, but they alone can’t take care of plaque build-up on your teeth. Ultrasonic cleaning and scaling by your dental care team at Avalon Dental is just the ticket to keep those pearly whites glistening.
At Avalon Dental Group, we pledge to adhere to on-time scheduling. That means that you’ll be seen at the time you’re scheduled to be seen, and get the service you came for promptly. We don’t want your busy schedule to get in the way of a healthy mouth.
Comprehensive Dental Exams
During your office visit with Dr. Yu, he will conduct a comprehensive dental exam to determine your overall dental health. He will discuss the results of the exam with you and make recommendations for continued care and improvement.
In conjunction with an in-home regimen of regular brushing and flossing, you and your dental care team at Avalon Dental Group can not only promote healthy teeth and gums but identify potential signs of disease such as diabetes and oral cancer.
We’ll show you at-home treatment options available to you that will supplement the work we’ll do here at the office. Your cleanings and checkups are a proactive measure to head off more expensive and potentially more serious conditions. As such, these services are usually fully covered under most insurance plans.
