Dr. Dannie Yu, M.S., D.D.S.

Dr. Yu grew up in Houston and returned home after receiving his degrees from the University of Michigan and Georgetown University. His aspirations of finding a career where he could contribute to his community's health and form lasting relationships led him to dentistry. His love of his hometown brought him back to the community he grew up in. Dr. Yu drew upon his upbringing, faith and sense of professional ethics to develop The Guiding Principles of Avalon Dental Group, and keeps these Principles in practice at everyone of your appointments.

At home Dr. Yu spends most of his time trying to keep up with his growing family. Aside from his family, his passions are following all the Houston teams and of course the University of Michigan Wolverines. Dr. Yu and his wife also like to seek out the hidden gems in Houston's diverse restaurants and try out new daring dishes. He always appreciates new suggestions to satisfy this craving.

Dr. Britt Nolen, D.D.S.

Dr. Britt Nolen is originally from El Dorado, Arkansas and has lived in the Houston area from a very early age. After graduating from Conroe High School, he attended the University of St. Thomas and earned his D.D.S from the University of Texas Dental Branch in 1978. He enjoys all aspects of clinical dentistry. His primary goal is providing his patients with optimal dental health.

He and his wife, Rebecca, have two children and recently welcomed a grand-daughter to the family. Dr. Nolen enjoys running and reading in his spare time and occasionally participates in the Texas Medical Center Orchestra's Brass Ensemble.

Christen, R.D.A., Dedicated Clinical Assistant

Christen, a registered dental assistant, found her passion in dentistry after experiencing the diversity and challenges of a dental office early on. Today as Avalon Dental Group's dedicated clinical assistant, Christen still finds fulfillment in meeting new people and addressing their dental needs. She takes great pride in ensuring a comfortable, safe and efficient experience for you, and believes her secret to achieving this is her training, empathy and kindness.

As a new mom that grew up in Sugar Land, Christen spends most of her time raising and cherishing her little one. Her other hobby is enjoying her diverse taste in music that reflects her personality.

Jenine, R.D.H., Hygienist

Jenine brings extensive experience to Avalon Dental Group as our Dental Hygienist, as well as her cheerful and welcoming personality. The ability to make long-term relationships and watching your improvement in oral hygiene through education and her skillful care continues to motivate Jenine everyday. She takes special care in treating everybody as an individual with unique dental needs. Having grown up in Victoria, TX may explain her warmth, charm and easy going nature.

Jenine and her husband enjoy spending time with their active kids. Her other interests include being involved with their church, spending time with close friends and attending their kids' competitions.

Leslie, R.D.A., Patient Care Coordinator
Since her childhood in El Campo, TX, Leslie says she's had an interest in dentistry and had the ability to comfort others. As Avalon Dental Group's Patient Care Coordinator she is fulfilling her childhood interests and utilizing her abilities everyday for our patient family. Her experiences in the dental field allow Leslie to ensure a great dental visit for you by answering your questions honestly, caring for you compassionately and making you feel welcome with her friendliness. She believes the best reward for her dedication and hard work is your smile at the end of every visit.

Away from the office, Leslie likes to travel and experience new places and people. When she's not traveling she enjoys spending time with her family and friends including her puppy Cash.

Noor, Front Office Administrator
Noor is fulfilling a childhood aspiration here at Avalon Dental as she works towards a career in dentistry. She enjoys seeing the benefits that good dental care can have on patients. Noor's compassion drives her to help others and adds to Avalon Dental's ability to care for a diversity of patient needs. Aside from her time at Avalon Dental, she volunteers at local assisted living communities.

In her free time, Noor enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping and catching all the latest films.

Valerie, R.D.A., Front Office Coordinator

Valerie brings years of dental insurance experience to Avalon Dental Group for your benefit. With the desire to expand on her education, Valerie chose dentistry as a profession so she could also fulfill her desire to help others. Drawing upon her knowledge of dental financing and her helpful nature, she strives to make sure your visit is a pleasant experience and takes pride in helping you navigate the intricacies of dental insurance. Valerie understands finances contribute to dental anxieties and she works hard to relieve these anxieties.

Having grown up in Sugar Land, Valerie loves spending time with her amazing family, but will occasionally sneak away for her one guilty pleasure, shopping for vintage shoes. In her free time, Valerie enjoys traveling, watching football and spending time with good friends.
